David LaBelle
Dave has taught or directed photography and storytelling workshops across the United States, Norway, Singapore, Italy and Canada for most of his professional life. He has taught beginners, amateurs, college students, seasoned professionals, seniors and “at risk” junior high school students. His strength is his patience and gift to see student potential, while encouraging students to find their own voice.
A Few of the Workshops Dave Offers:
- The Great Picture Hunt Photo Scavenger Hunt. For students familiar with the camera but who desire to grow their photo skills. Students benefit from presentations, assignments, critiques, coaching and encouragement.
- TLC -Timing, Light and Composition. Ideal for beginners who want to become more comfortable with their camera, increase basic photo knowledge and skills, and grow more confident with their photography. Assignments and critiques.
- Pictures with Purpose storytelling workshop. A five-day, intensive picture story workshop designed to increase storytelling skills. During this workshop Dave encourages students to find their own voice. Offered every two years.
- Six-week online classes which meet twice weekly for 90 minutes. These are topical classes such as learning about composition, capturing moments, or seeing and using light
